Trauma-Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga [TCTSY] is an empirically validated, adjunctive treatment for complex trauma. TCTSY was developed at the Trauma Center at JRI in Brookline, Massachusetts, USA, by David Emerson and is a key program of the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at JRI.
As qualified JRI TCTSY Facilitators, Christine, Moira & Lisa invite you to a short introductory session:
To learn about the TCTSY model - the research and evidence base
To experience TSY, using principles from the TCTSY model
This program is solely for professional development, and intended as informational workshops for yoga teachers and anyone interested. It does not certify you in TCTSY or TSY.
These workshops are not intended as an intervention for those who have experienced trauma. Talking about trauma, even in the context of a professional workshop, can be triggering.
About TC-TSY and the further training
The TCTSY 20hr Foundation workshops are part of the Center for Trauma & Embodiment Yoga Program to satisfy one of the pre-requisites of application for Yoga Teachers and/or Mental Health Professionals for the Trauma Center at JRI's 300hr full certification program in TCTSY - "TCTSY Certification Program for Yoga Teachers and Mental Health Career Professionals" held annually in Melbourne, Berlin or Boston via an opening weekend and subsequently distance education.
